As some of my readers know, in order to cure insomnia I experienced for over three years, I decided to eliminate stimulants from my diet for 90 days, starting September 1st, 2010. In the past year, since I decided to pursue a life of pleasure, my health has been improving, but not to the level I wanted, so for these past 90 days I eliminated coffee, caffeine, chocolate, refined sugar and alcohol from my diet. I must say that I am blown away by the changes in my life. I am calmer, more confident, less stressed and I feel joy on a moment-to-moment basis throughout the day.
I had a dream on day 85, in which I ate a big bag of Peanut M&M’s before day 90, felt incredibly guilty, and then dressed up like a dominatrix and felt so much better. That was my unconscious mind giving my conscious mind the middle finger. I had already learned so many lessons by then and had been working on this essay for several days, that I decided I was done. I lasted until the end of day 87. Time is a human construct anyway, so I get to make up my own schedule.
For the past few days I’ve been indulging in a bit of sugar, caffeine & alcohol. To my immense surprise, I’m really, quite…over it. It doesn’t feel good to be on stimulants; it just feels different. In other words, I DON’T NEED THEM! I consider that success.
That being said, here’s what I learned:
1. (Like many people), I did not realize the degree to which I was addicted to stimulants.
2. There is no one answer.
3. What affects the physical body also affects the meta-physical body (the part of the body that is unseen by the physical eye).
4. Messages from your Human Energy System to improve your diet and lifestyle are meant to help you.
5. Unhook yourself from the machine that is the Western World’s Food Supply Chain.
6. If you want to be vibrantly healthy and rejuvenated, you must see yourself that way, NO MATTER WHAT YOU “THINK” IS HAPPENING WITH THE PHYSICAL PART OF YOUR BODY.
